Mizuno launches new RB566 and RB MAX golf balls for 2024
New 566 soft feel and MAX speed dual-core models added to Mizuno portfolio
Mizuno has unveiled an improved version of its RB566 Balanced Performance ball and a completely new high-speed ball, the RB MAX, to be available from 2024.
“Testing with real golfers, we’ve seen that there genuinely isn’t a ‘best’ ball for everyone. No one wants to leave yards on the table, and everyone wants great feel and spin around the greens. Yet how we create that is very dependent on clubhead speed and the playing conditions.”
Mizuno RB MAX
MAX SPEED. MAX PERFORMANCE
The RB MAX is an entirely new ball for Mizuno – combining a Tour ball’s speed and launch characteristics with a more durable cover. Created using a new DualCore – with a soft inner to enhance feel, with a firmer, resilient outer, allowing greater energy transfer. The RB MAX also features Mizuno’s AXIALFLOW dimple to reduce drag – for enhanced distance and penetration through the wind.
“The RB Max is for every amateur player who likes the speed and flight control of a Tour-type ball, with increased durability. Plenty of amateurs with good clubhead speed will see better results from a slightly firmer ball.”
David Llewellyn – Director of R&D / Mizuno USA
Suitable for mid to high swing speeds.
- 336 AXIALFLOW dimples: The same dimple design used on Mizuno’s tour use balls – low on drag for a fast, penetrating flight on full shots.
- Dual Construction Butadiene Rubber Core: With its softer inner core and firmer outer, the RB Max is able to produce fast ball speeds, with a great feel from full shots.
Ionomer Cover: For a blend of greenside feel and all-year-round durability.
